KRAY GANG MEMBERS RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY
Ex Kray gang members Freddie Foreman and Chris Lambrianou, joined ex hitman Bobby Cummings, Linda “The Black Widow” Calvey and Celebrity Gangster Dave Courtney to raise money for Macmillan Nurses at a charity gala day, held at the Marquis of Cornwllis, Bethnal Green.
Ex tabloid model and friend to The Krays Maureen Flanagan organised the fund raiser which saw over 200 people help raise over £2000 for the nurses. Whilst Dave Courtney acted as auctioneer, Freddie, Chris and Linda signed copies of their books with all funds going to charity.
Freddie Foreman, who celebrated his 87th birthday earlier in the week, was surprised with a birthday cake and birthday cards from many supporters who attended.
THE WHO TO PERFORM AT WEMBLEY FOR 1ST TIME IN 40 YEARS
July 6th this years sees The Who return to Wembley to perform a full concert in 40 years, and to celebrate this Roger Daltrey launched a London Black Taxi advertising the Concert.
Roger, who had returned to the UK from Mexico earlier in the week, posed with the “The Who” taxi outside The Royal Garden Hotel said he was looking forward to returning to play at Wembley, before entering the hotel to give a keynote speech at the 31st International Live Music Conference (ILMC).
Support for the concert comes from Imelda May, Kaiser Chiefs and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.
The Who also celebrate another 40th anniversary when on November 2nd Quadrophenia celebrates 40 years since it’s original release.
THE WAITRESS PRESS NIGHT
Thursday night at The Adelphi Theatre saw stars of the stage and screen attend to watch Katharine McPhee star in the hit West End show “The Waitress”
Those in attendance included Sir Michael Caine, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sara Bareilles, Cuba Gooding jnr and Beverley Knight.
The Waitress, which is based on the original book by Jessie Nelson first opened in April 2016 on Broadway USA to critical acclaim before officially opening in England at The Adelphi on March 7th Tickets are available until mid October .
