Epsom specialist Fathom Five can hit bookies for six at 7/1
Sprint King Dandy Nicholls looks to have a major chance of landing the 3.05 at Epsom with course specialist Fathom Five who is potentially thrown-in on his best form and looks an each-way steal at 7-1.
The seven-year-old is now 4lb below his last winning mark and put in a cracking effort when fifth to Captain Dunne at this track in the Dash five outings ago off a mark of 91.
He was badly squeezed up that day inside the final furlong, and hvaing been switched left to conitnue his run only failed by 1/2 a length to get up in a blanket finish.
Since then he has put in a couple of below par efforts, but ran much better two starts ago when third to Secret Asset at Goodwood and ran far better than his finishing position of 11 of 20 to Secret Winess at Doncaster on his lastest start suggests.
Today’s soft going will suit him ideally, and on a track which he runs particularly well he looks to have a tremendous chance at the weights of registering another course and distance victory.
