Ben Linihan is a 22 year old mixed martial artist from Bermondsey, south London, with a record of 1-1. Training out of Combat Company in Richmond and few other gyms for specifics, the 6’1″ man makes his debut on WFS on February 21st when he steps into the cage against Irishman John Reid in a Lightweight bout.
You will be fighting on February 21st on Warrior Fight Series, how is training going up until now?
Training for this fight is going perfectly just like it was for the last. I’m enjoying improving every day and looking forward to the test on the 21st of Feb.
You train at Combat Company, what’s it like training with the guys you grace the mats with?
I couldn’t ask for better people to be around not just in terms of the skills and knowledge available for me to learn from but the characters of these guys and girls. It’s a winning formula if ever there was one.
You will be fighting John Reid, do you know much about them and how do you think you will match up?
I’m fighting John Reid next month, I don’t know much at all about him. I’ve seen a little bit of him in the cage but not a great deal. I know he is an Irish guy from Dublin about 10 years older than me and that he comes to fight. I believe I will win the fight convincingly i feel I’m better in every area of the game. I can’t have a guy stepping into my back yard beating me on my own soil, that just isn’t a scenario that I’m willing to consider a possibility. I wont let him leave without a taking a beating first.
