Bowson Fred is back down to a handy mark and gets the max bet treatment at 100/30 in the 2.45 at Wolverhampton today now eased in grade.
Mick Easterby’s charge has not scored since landing back-to-back class 3 contests at Musselburgh and Chelmsford n the summer of 2016, the last of which came off a makr of 91.
However, he has posted some really solid efforts in defeat including when runner-up in the 2016 Gosforth Park Cup off 97 and hwne fourth of 12 to Encore d’Or in a class 2 at Chelmsford off 104.
Bowson Fred has also run well to finish runner-up on three occasions this year in class 2 contests, including here, off ratings of 99,99 and 100.
He is now able to race off 94 and drops back down into class 3 company for the first time since his brace of successes in 2016.
It gives him outstanding claims on the pick of his form, esepcially if taking into account the 7lb claim of Harrison Shaw.
He is also well drawn to attack in stall 3 and everything suggests this is a great opportunity for hin to get back on the scoresshet at a track where he has won once and been polaced twice in three starts over CD.
