Carnageo has become well-treated and looks worth a bet at 4/1 in the 4.30 at Beverley today.
Richard Fahey’s charge scored twice last season with the last of those successes coming in a competitive 12-runner class 3 affair at York where he stayed on strong;y to beat Save The Bees by a head off a mark of 84.
He got put up to 88 for that and has largely struggled since, icnluding in four starts this season.
However, those runs have come in far better races than this and the handicapper has cut him some slack.
Carnageo is now able to race off a reduced rating of 81 – 3lb lower than when last successful.
It is the same rating that he won off at Carlisle last June before going on to score at York and gives him major claims at the weights.
This five-runner class 4 affair also looks the easiest task he has faced for some time and he is three from nine over the trip.
So taking everything into account this looks a nice opening for Carnageo to get back on the scoresheet.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Carnageo (4/1 bet365, BetVictor – BOG)
