Cheltenham Festival Wednesday Tips: 16/1 Vision value in Coral Cup

Vision Des Flos has some top class form in the book and looks nicely weighted on handicap debut in the Coral Cup (2.50) so looks worth an each-way wager at 16/1. This six-year-old won the valuable Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the 2017 Punchestown Festival when in the care of Robert Tyner and posted some terrific efforts in defeat last season in Grade 1 company after joining trainer Colin Tizzard. He finished a fine  a 2 1/2 lengths runner-up to Lalor in a Grade 1 at Aintree and  went on to round off the campaign with a very good second Draconien in a Grade 1 at the  Punchestown Festival. The form of those races is reads well in relation to this and Vision Des Flos comes into this having got back on the scoresheet in the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell, where he raced prominently throughout and only had to be driven out on the run-in to beat If The Cap Fits by 1 1/2 lengths off an official rating of 150. If The Cap Fits, from whom he received 4lb, was rated 155 going into the race and he had  Lil Rockerfeller (150) and Old Guard (154) behind in third and fourth respectively. That gives the form a solid look and suggests an opening handicap mark of 152 for Vision Des Flos is exploitable. This race is also traditionally a strongly run affair which will play to his strengths.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Vision Des Flos (16/1 general – use BOG firms)
