Flying Pursuit has an excellent record at Ripon and looks worth an punt at 7/1 in the 3.50 there today.

Tim Easterby’s charge has a 38% strike rate over course and distance having won three times and been placed once from eight starts.

He enjoyed a terrific time last season when winning three times, showing a good attitude in the last of those when scoring by 1/2 a length over course and distance off 96.

Flying Pursuit when on to be placed in his next two starts off 101 before rounding off the campaign with a decent eighth of 14 to Dream Of Dreams in a Listed contest at Doncaster.

He returned to action off a career-high mark of 103 and has failed to trouble the judge in three starts.

However, they have all been in competitive class 2 affairs and the assessor has been quick to cut him some slack.

Flying Pursuit is now able to race off 96 – the saem as when last successful – and drops down into class 3 company in which he has a 25% strike rate.

It gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form in the easiest race he has run in for some time.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Flying Pursuit (7/1 Ladbrokes – BOG)
