Coeur Sublime is a progressive sort who looks decent value at 9/1 in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile at Leopardstown today (1.15).
This four-year-old took the scalp of subsequent St Leger third Southern France when winning his sole start on the level in an 11-runner maiden at Navan when trained by Peter Fahy and made a winning start over the obstacles after joining Gordon Elliott when comfortably beating Our Legend by 1 1/2 lengths at Down Royal.
He then losty little in defeat when going down by a short-head to stable companion Chief Justice in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse where his cause was not helped by a mistake three from home.
Couer Sublime then looked all set for victory last time out in the Grade 2 Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle over course and distance when still travelling well only to come to grief at the last.
Had he stood on his feet and won that he would be shorter in the betting for this than he is and a big plus is that Davy Russell now takes over in the saddle for the first time.
Elliott also has his team in good nick and Couer Sublime has proven form on the ground, so there is lots to like about his chances in this.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Couer Sublime (9/1 Betfair – BOG)
