Angel Di Maria is 5/6 with Sky Bet to score over 5.5 Premier League goals for Manchester United this season after completing a British record transfer to Old Trafford.
The Argentina winger is Louis van Gaal’s fourth signing of the summer and takes United’s spending to over £100m during this transfer window as they look to rebuild following a dismal 2013/14 campaign.
However, United remain 12/1 to win the Premier League after making a stuttering start to the new season, with Chelsea and Manchester City clear favourites at 6/5 and 15/8 respectively.
Di Maria is likely to make his United bow against Burnley on Saturday and Sky Bet have also priced up some debut specials, including 2/1 to score anytime, 12/1 to bag a brace and 66/1 to net a hat-trick.
Sky Bet Football Trader Jess Gill said: “Di Maria is a really top player, and was probably the third best player in Spain last season behind the big two of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“He has a lot of creativity and will provide plenty of assists for Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie, but he’s not a prolific goal scorer. However, his debut is likely to be away at Burnley on Saturday afternoon and he could find himself on the score sheet in a relatively easy fixture.”
