Italian Beauty has caught the eye on her last two runs and looks overpriced at 20/1 in the 3.20 at Kempton.

Tim Jarvis’ filly didn’t show much in her first two starts as a juevnile on the turf over 6f at Windsor and Haydock, but put in a much improved performance when switched to the polytrack and stepped up in trip.

She kept on nicely under tender handling to finish a 3 1/2 length sixth of 13 to Rockaroundtheclock over 7f at this venue, leaving the distinct impression that she would have more to offer when tackling handicaps.

Italian Beauty was allotted an opening mark of 59 on the back of that effort and sent off at 33/1 on handicap debut over 7f at this venue.

She showed plenty of pace to chase the leader until the two marker before weakening late on to finish a highly creditable 3 1/2 lengths seventh of 12 to Just Marion.

To me it looked as if she needed a bit more time to strengthen up, and the handicapper has since dropped her 3lb.

That makes Italian Beauty’s mark of 56 look explotable if ready to roll at the first time of asking, and the step up in trip to 1m today may well bring about further improvement.

With Jim Crowley in the saddle, and a good draw in stall 2, she looks well worth an each-way wager at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Italian Beauty (20/1 BetVictor, Boylesports, Paddy Power – BOG)
