King Of The Celts has slipped to a carerr-low mark and looks worth bet at 10/1 in the 8.45 at Carlisle today having shaped as if returning to form in his last two outings.
Tim Easterby’s veteran is on a long losing run having not scored since landing a class 5 contest at Beverley back in May 2016 off a mark of 67.
However, he did run well on a couple of occasions last season to make the frame – finishing second at Catterick off 63 and runner-up at Beverly off 64.
King Of The Celts is now able to race in this class 5 off just 58 and that is a career low for thr 10-year-old.
He also ran an eye-catching fourth at Catterick two starts back whn racing too keenly in the hands of an amateur rider before keeping on to be beaten 1 3/4 lengths and backed that up with a dcenet fourth at the same venue 12 days ago when racing with plenty of enthusiasm until being umable to quicken and beaten 3 3/4 lengths.
With three runs under his belt King Of The Celts should now be fully tuned to do himself justice and he also now gets fitted with the blinkers for the first time.
If they have the desired effect he looks weighted to run a big race in the hands of Emily Easterby.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way King Of The Celts (10/1 bet365, BetVictor, Sky Bet – BOG)
