Savello has become dangerously well-treated and looks worth a punt in the 2.00 at Stratford today.

The 12-year-old had some smart form to his name in 2015/15 when winning three times and finishing fourth in the Grand Annual at the Cheltenham Festival off 150.

His last win cnme in a class 2 off a rating of 151 and he is now able to race in this class 3 affair off just 124.

That is a career-low and Dan Skelton’s charge shaped better than the bare result suggests last time out at Aintree when 10th of 16 to Bentelimar.

This is far easier than that assignment and the stable boast a healthy strike rate of just over 21% with their runners at the track in the past 12 months.

If building on his latest effort, this looks a glorious opportunity for Savello to cash-in on a huge drop in the weights and get back on the scoresheet.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Savello (9/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
