Sir Lancelott has been knocking on the door of late and looks worth a punt at 11/2 to get back on the scoresheet in the 5.30 at Chelmsford today.

Adrian Nicholls’ six-year-old was last successful at Wolverhampton back in February when scoring by a length off a mark of 47.

He went on to be placed twice off 51 at the same venue, finishing a 3 1/4 length second of 12 to Street Poet and a 1/2 length third of 13 to Beatbybeatbybeat.

Sir Lancelot also comes into the race having posted three solid efforst following a break and caught the eye in the last of those ay Newcastle when finsihing well from off the pace to be a never nearer 2 1/2 lengths third of 12 to False ID.

That run suggested his time was near and having been dropped a pound he is now racing off a rating of 45.

It gives him major claims at the weights, especially taking into consideration the his last win prior to the aforementioned success at Wolcerhampton came of 60 back in January 2017.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Sir Lancelott (11/2 Betfair, Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power – BOG)
