Theatre Act looks worth a wager at 6/1 to cash-in on a huge drop in the weights and land the spoils in the 2.50 at Hexham today.

Chris Grant’s was in fine form at the backend of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 when winning three times. In the last of those successes she scored by 1 1/2 lengths at Sedgefield off a mark of 101.

The seven-year-old then ran well off 106 when third at Carlisle and has largely struggled since – apart from five starts back when runner-up at Sedgefield.

However, the handicapper has continued to relent and Theatre Acit os now abel to race in this off a career-low rating of just 83 – 18lb lower than when last victorious.

It gives her oustanding claims from a handicapping perspective on the pick of her form and she shaped quite nicely last time out following a break when fifth of 10 at Carlisle.

With that run under her belt she should now be spot on to do herself justice under regualr pilot Brian Hughes who has partnered her to all three of her career successes.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Theatre Act (6/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
