With the massive success of season 1 of the World Boxing Super Series everyone was waiting with baited breath for the weights and contenders for season 2 and what a cracking line up has been announced so for for the 140lb category.

Latest addition UNBEATEN 27yo Scot Josh Taylor 13-0, 11 KO’s the WBC super-lightweight mandatory told DAILY SPORT Boxing “I am delighted to have had to the opportunity to join the competition, It’s a great chance for me to become world champion with multiple organisations. It is also a great honour to fight for the Ali trophy. In honour of the greatest boxer of all times.”

And now the winner of WBC Interim World Championship Regis Prograis vs Juan Jose Velasco on July 14 will enter the tournament. Prograis is 29yo with a record of 21-0, 18 KO’s from Houston, Texas whilst Velasco is 31yo from Buenos Aires, Argentina with a record of 20-0, 12 KO’s
