Queensbury British Middleweight champion Gareth Gardner insists his undefeated record and mantle, as the most dominant champion in the history of the competition will still be intact next month after his latest title defence.

The multi weight champion from Croydon will return to action on Saturday May 9th at the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey to make the second defence of his British Middleweight title against Orpington’s Lloyd Miller, and Gardner is adamant that Miller and any of his other divisional rivals will not be getting their hands on his belt as he embarks on another season in the UK’s premier boxing league.

Gardner was last in action back in November when he systematically dismantled highly touted prospect Kieran Leinster to emphatically defend his crown at the 2014 season finale, and once again Gardner will put it all on the line in the ring when he meets the number one challenger for the belt.

Gardner Victory

“ Lloyd Miller is a talented fighter and has all the skills, but there is no way he’s taking my title on May 9th, “ warned the champion.

“ I was ringside at the Alexandra Palace in London last month to watch him win the national Super Middleweight belt against Terry Russell and he boxed really well, but Russell made it a lot easier for him than it should have been and that’s something I won’t be doing.”

In his previous appearances in the competition Miller has shown vulnerabilities after being stopped by Freddie Yemofio back on season 3 and looked in trouble in the final round against Russell in London, and Gardner is keen to test his whiskers and see how they stand up to his famous relentless pressure.

“ Lloyds a big strong middleweight but he’s shown weaknesses in his fights and was rocked in the last round against Russell and had to hang on to get the win, so let’s test that chin on May 9th and see how it fares against me”

Gardner’s British title defence will headline the league’s huge night of championship action taking place on Saturday May 9that the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and for more information on the show log on to www.queensburyboxing.co.uk
