Gin In The Inn has a decent record at Pontefract and having slipped to a handy mark makes plenty of appeal in the 4.05 the today.

Richrad Fahey’s charge was won twice and been placed once in six starts over course and distaanve. He won twice last season, including over CD, and went on to finish a short-head runner-up off 87.

He was also far from disgraced when a 6 length sixth of 22 to Ice Age in a Premier handicap at the Curragh off 90.

Gin In The Inn is now able to race in this class 3 off 86 – just 1lb higher than when making a winning return to action in a class 2 at Ripon back in April.

It gives him major claims at the weights and another plus is that he is vesatile as regards ground and won’t be inconvenienced if the rain forecasted arrives.

Paul Hanagan, who has partnered hin to three of his five career successes, is also now back in the plate and he hails from a yard that saddled five winners yesterday.

So taking everuthing into account, Gin In The Inn has plenty going for him.
